About this tool
Start, pause and resume a precise browser stopwatch, then record lap times in a scrollable list. The display includes hundredths of a second for everyday training, presentations, classroom exercises and task timing.
Elapsed time is derived from the device clock instead of counting rendered frames. That keeps the total correct when the browser cannot repaint the display continuously, although this is still a general-purpose tool rather than certified sports timing equipment.
No timing history leaves the tab or is saved after the page is closed.

- How precise is the stopwatch?
- It displays hundredths of a second and derives elapsed time from the device clock. Browser scheduling and input latency make it unsuitable for certified competition timing.
- What happens when the tab is in the background?
- Visual updates may slow, but elapsed time is recalculated from the clock when the tab runs again, so the total does not depend on every animation frame being drawn.
