About this tool

Write or paste Markdown in the editor and see the rendered document immediately beside it. The live preview supports headings, links, blockquotes, fenced code, GitHub-style tables, task lists and strikethrough. Open a local .md file, copy the source or HTML, and export the result as Markdown, HTML or a print-ready PDF.

Source formatting remains available as a supporting action. It normalizes headings, lists, spacing, tables and paragraphs when you need a clean file for a repository or documentation site.

Rendering and formatting happen locally in the browser. Raw HTML is not executed in the preview and the document is not uploaded.

Questions people actually ask

Can I preview Markdown while I type?
Yes. The preview updates automatically and supports GitHub-style tables, task lists, strikethrough, links, blockquotes and fenced code blocks.
Can I export the rendered document?
Yes. You can download the source as .md, export a standalone HTML file, or use the print view to save a PDF.
Is pasted HTML executed?
No. Raw HTML is not rendered, and unsafe link protocols are removed. The document is processed locally and is not uploaded.
What does Format source do?
It uses Prettier to normalize Markdown spacing, list indentation, tables and paragraph wrapping without replacing the live preview.
